Patient journey

Your journey at MediLavia: from booking to result

We value your time and health. That is why every visit to our clinic is a well-considered journey, backed by a team of professionals, where you always know what comes next. The whole process is divided into five main stages.

Stage 1

Booking an appointment and online preparation

You submit a request on the website, via messengers or by phone. You register by full name and contact phone number (simplified registration) or by full name, phone number and passport details (full registration), and gain access to your personal account. With full registration you can review and complete the documents of a first-time patient; with simplified registration, only review the templates.

Step 1. Preparing for the visit

We ask you to fill in a health questionnaire electronically on our website. It takes 5–7 minutes but brings major benefits.

  • The doctor will already know your complaints, chronic conditions, allergies and medications before you enter the room — saving your time
  • The doctor will also determine whether you need to see a general practitioner during the same visit
  • The administrator will see in advance how to identify you: an outpatient wristband with colour codes for allergies, risks and health specifics

On the website you can also review and sign electronically your informed voluntary consent, consent to personal data processing, consent to photo and video recording, and the clinic's rules of conduct. All of this — without queues or unnecessary paperwork.

Stage 2

Confirming the visit

A day before the appointment our administrator will send you a reminder. If you do not confirm, the administrator will contact you personally to clarify your plans. This ensures that neither your time nor the doctor's is wasted.

Stage 3

Visit to the clinic — appointment day

  • You arrive — and you are already known. If the questionnaire and consents are completed electronically, the administrator identifies you, checks documents, applies a wristband and takes you straight to the doctor — no queues or waiting
  • The doctor performs an examination and diagnostics using the methods that are genuinely indicated: CT, imaging, lab tests and others
  • A diagnosis is made and a specific treatment plan is defined

After this, the onward journey depends on the complexity of the case.

Scenario A. Simple treatment on the day of the visit

If the first stage of treatment can be carried out immediately — for example, tooth extraction, a simple filling, or a minimally invasive procedure without general anaesthesia.

  • The doctor prepares for the procedure according to an internal safety checklist: all risks are accounted for, allergies checked
  • Performs the manipulation or procedure
  • Gives recommendations on the regimen — in writing and verbally
  • After the procedure, escorts you to the administrator for service support: discharge, booking the next visit, answering questions
You come with a problem and leave with a solution — on the same day.

Scenario B. Comprehensive treatment plan

If treatment is comprehensive, requires general anaesthesia, several stages or the involvement of narrow specialists.

  • After the examination, the doctor refers you to a general practitioner to assess your somatic status — during the same visit, free of charge, for your safety
  • A team of doctors — surgeon, physician, anaesthesiologist, narrow specialists — prepares a personal written comprehensive treatment plan within three days: stages, timelines, alternatives, cost, prognosis
  • The plan is uploaded to your personal account

Three days later we invite you to the clinic for a presentation of the treatment plan: the doctors explain each stage in person, you choose convenient alternatives, if any, meet the whole team of specialists who will treat you, and sign individual informed consents for each stage. From this point we draw up a calendar schedule of visits with specific manipulations, dates and responsible doctors.

You have the full picture, and we have the time to prepare for your specific case.

Stage 4

Treatment by plan

You arrive strictly on schedule, with no waiting. Each visit is accompanied by safety checklists for inpatient and outpatient procedures and is recorded in the medical information system — all visible in your personal account. We monitor your condition and, if needed, adjust the tactics, including based on your feedback.

Stage 5

Follow-up and completion

After active treatment is completed, you receive a discharge summary with recommendations, the date of the next visit and the contacts of the responsible doctor — the general practitioner or attending physician. After 7 days, 1 month and 3 months, your personal coordinator will check on your well-being and invite you for a follow-up examination. We are always in touch: if any questions arise, call or write in the chat.

Your personal family general practitioner

A unique service of the clinic is assigning every patient who has received treatment from a dentist, ENT doctor or another narrow specialist to a personal family general practitioner. The GP's role is to be your coordinator on matters of lifestyle medicine, preventive screening, personalised check-ups and longevity. In surgical treatment, it is the GP who carries out the pre-operative examination, determines somatic risks and contraindications, and together with the surgeon and anaesthesiologist forms an agreed position on the choice of anaesthesia method in your case. The GP is responsible for the drug interactions of all medications taken and newly prescribed, and their compatibility with anaesthesia, calculates individual doses for somatically burdened patients and rules out polypharmacy, especially in patients with a complicated allergy history.

Three formats are available for getting to know the general practitioner:

  1. Telemedicine

A phone conversation or communication via telemedicine in your personal account at a convenient time, during which the doctor contacts the patient and explains the value of such support.

  2. Introductory visit

A brief in-person introductory visit after the dental case is completed, lasting 15–20 minutes.

  3. Full consultation

A full GP consultation with an examination and recommendations on a preventive check-up or a specific patient concern, in a paid format.

The general practitioner helps connect the treatment carried out with a broader goal — preserving health, prevention, a personalised check-up and a longevity strategy. Thanks to this, even a local medical problem becomes part of a systemic and grown-up approach to quality of life.
